Duty Manager – Crowne Plaza Geelong

An exciting opportunity awaits! We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Duty Manager to join the Front Office leadership team at the newly opened Crowne Plaza Geelong. 

Set within the much-anticipated Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Exhibition Centre precinct, Crowne Plaza Geelong offers a truly elevated stay.

With 200 guest rooms, an all-day dining Italian restaurant, a spectacular Skybar with sweeping Corio Bay views, plus a pool, gym, and cutting-edge conference facilities, the hotel is designed to impress both leisure and business travellers alike. 

This is a unique chance to be part of a brand-new hotel opening, working with new facilities and playing a key role in creating memorable guest experiences from the very beginning. 

 

A little taste of your day-to-day 

 

As a Duty Manager, you'll be a visible and proactive presence throughout the hotel, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while delivering warm and efficient service.

Your responsibilities will include: 

 



* Supporting the Front Office Manager in implementing operating procedures and service standards across front office operations. 



* Acting as the primary point of contact for guests and team members across all departments, handling issues with a proactive, guest-first mindset. 



* Taking ownership of guest concerns and delivering True Hospitality for Good. 



* Assisting in the daily operation of the hotel, ensuring seamless coordination between front office, housekeeping, maintenance and food & beverage. 



* Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and training of front office and guest service team members 



* Conducting floor walks, monitoring guest satisfaction, resolving complaints, and ensuring operational standards are upheld at all times. 



* Promoting IHG programs and loyalty initiatives, contributing to revenue growth and guest retention. 

 

What we need from you 

 



* Previous experience in a Duty Manager or senior front office role within a premium or upscale hotel environment 



* Strong understanding of front office operations, guest service delivery and hotel systems.

(Opera Cloud or similar PMS experience desirable). 



* A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with excellent leadership and communication skills. 



* Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure. 



* A passion for creating memorable guest experiences and contributing to a supportive team culture. 



* Full Australian working rights and flexibility across overnight, weekends, and public holidays as required.
