What Your Impact Is
As a Consultant, Science/Engineering, you’ll support and lead components of spill prevention planning, site investigation, and remediation projects while working closely with program managers, partners, and technical experts across North America.
You’ll apply your experience in state and federal regulations to manage compliance needs, oversee field programs, mentor junior staff, and ensure high‑quality project execution.
Your contributions will be vital to delivering innovative, practical solutions for ERM’s clients in the Oil & Gas sector and other industries.
What You’ll Bring
Required
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or related discipline.
Or equivalent experience.
* 2–3 years of progressively responsible experience supporting spill prevention or contaminated site projects under local, state, and federal regulations.
* Strong written, verbal, analytical, and organizational skills.
* Environmental fieldwork experience and 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
* Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to established Health & Safety protocols.
* Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
* This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Preferred
* Experience working in Arctic or remote environments.
* Familiarity with state/federal Spill Prevention regulations, the Alaska Contaminated Sites Program, and RCRA corrective action regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Support development, maintenance, and renewal of Oil Discharge Prevention and Contingency Plans (ODPCP) and Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans, including site inspections.
