PMO Analyst (Remote in US)
The PMO Analyst provides operational, analytical, and reporting support to the Project Management Office.
This role is responsible for maintaining portfolio data integrity, enabling accurate reporting, supporting resource and capacity planning, and ensuring leadership has clear visibility into project demand, staffing, and financial performance.
The PMO Analyst plays a critical role in turning project and resource data into actionable insights that support prioritization, planning, and delivery decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Track resource allocation across projects, including utilization by role, team, and workstream.
Partner with the project management team to understand upcoming staffing needs and confirm resource availability for planned initiatives with engineering.
* Identify capacity constraints and bottlenecks that could impact delivery timelines.
* Support demand vs.
supply analysis to enable effective prioritization, roadmap planning, and sequencing of initiatives.
* Analyze utilization trends to identify capacity becoming available for future projects.
* Work closely with Project Managers to track project budgets, forecasts, ROI, and CAPEX.
* Support financial reporting for active projects and portfolio-level investment analysis.
* Ensure financial data aligns with PMO reporting and governance expectations.
* Develop, maintain, and validate PMO dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting related to project health, delivery status, resource utilization, and financial metrics.
Identify trends, risks, and data gaps, and proactively surface insights to PMO leadership.
* Maintain the single source of truth for project proposals, approved initiatives, and the active project portfolio.
* Ensure project data is accurate, current, and consistently maintained across PMO tools and systems.
* Support PMO governance processes, including intake, prioritization, and portfolio reviews.
Qualification
* 2–5 years experience in PMO operations, project coordination, business analysis, or a similar analytical role.
* Strong analytical and data management skills.
* Experience building and maintaining dashboards and reports.
* Ability to work cross-functionally with project managers, engineering leaders, and finance partners.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
* Proficiency in Excel and PMO tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar).
Compensation
* Annual Salary of $70,000 - $100,000
