Injection Molding Manager – Cup & Bucket Line

What You’ll Do


* Run and lead day-to-day injection molding/in-mold labeling operations for cup and bucket production, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.


* Lead, train, and support Molding Technicians, Lead Persons, and Floor Operators in a hands-on production environment.


* Set clear expectations, track performance, and provide coaching or corrective action when needed.


* Plan staffing, job assignments, and break coverage to keep production running smoothly across shifts.


* Act as the go-to technical resource on the floor for start-ups, shutdowns, mold changes, and process adjustments.


* Ensure presses run at established cycle times while meeting quality and safety standards.


* Troubleshoot molding, mechanical, and process issues involving presses, molds, auxiliaries, materials, and automation.


* Monitor scrap and rejects, identify root causes, and implement fixes to prevent repeat issues.


* Review and improve process settings, material usage, and mold performance to reduce waste and improve efficiency.


* Work closely with Maintenance to resolve equipment and mold issues and minimize downtime.


* Ensure mold changes, material handling, and machine cleaning are completed correctly and on schedule.


* Complete and review production paperwork, setup sheets, and SQF documentation.


* Support sampling, trial runs, and prototype mold runs; document and communicate results.


* Identify opportunities to reduce labor, material, and cycle time costs.


* Step in as a Lead Person or Technician when needed to support production.


* Lead regular team meetings focused on safety, quality, and production goals.


* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe molding area.

What We’re Looking For


* Experience in injection molding, plastics manufacturing, or mechanical operations


* Strong knowledge of press operation, mold changes, materials, and auxiliary equipment


* Hands-on troubleshooting skills in a production environment


* Ability to lead teams while staying involved on the floor


* Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
