Job Description:

Job Family Definition:

Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products.

Develops software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools.

Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.

Management Level Definition:

Contributions impact technical components of HPE products, solutions, or services regularly and sustainable.

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert.

Provides expertise and partnership to functional and technical project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives.

Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for achieving objectives.

May provide team leadership and mentoring to others.

Key Responsibilities:


* Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans to validate AI-DC functionality on Broadcom-based switching platforms.


* Validate advanced L2/L3 features including, PFE features - QoS, PFC./ECN, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, QinQ , and multicast .


* Automate functional, regression, scale, and performance test cases using Python and Robot Framework .


* Perform deep-dive debugging across ASIC, NOS, and control/data plane layers.


* Collaborate with customer facing account teams and TAC teams, manager customer reported issues and bring back the learning to test function.


* Validate optical modules across various speeds, breakout configurations, and transceiver management protocols (e.g., CMIS , DOM ).

Requirements:


* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics , Computer Science , or a related field.


* 10+ years of experience in network software or hardware testing .


* Strong understanding of L2/L3 networking protocols and switch/router architecture .


* Proficiency in Python and experience with test automation frameworks such as Robot Framework .

Knowledge and Skills :


* Familiarity with SDKs such as SDKLT or OpenNSL is a strong plus.
