Assistant Director of Rehab
General Purpose The Assistant Director of Rehabilitation (ADOR) works under the supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) or Rehab Coordinator (RC) to support the clinical and operational functions of the rehabilitation department in an assigned facility.
Essential Duties • Support the DOR/RC in supporting therapy personnel, including licensed therapists, assistants, aides, and students.
• Assist with daily staff scheduling and caseload management to meet facility needs.
• Provide direct patient care and participate in caseload activities only as allowed under the individuals' professional license and the specific State Practice Act.
Collaborate with the DOR/RC to balance administrative duties with any clinical responsibilities permitted by state regulations.
• Monitor therapy services to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, reimbursement guidelines, and company policies.
• Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Participate in denials management and assist with coordinating appeals responses.
• Assist in implementing, monitoring and refining therapy programs and initiatives.
• Support staff orientation, ongoing training and in service education.
• Provide education to staff related to safety, quality, and best practices.
• Provide input and observations to the DOR/RC to support staff performance evaluations.
• Foster positive working relationships with facility teams and referral sources.
• Attend team meetings, interdisciplinary meetings and PACS meetings as needed.
• Ensure billing and therapy documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with PACS standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient, staff, and company information.
• Identify personal development needs and participate in continuing education.
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and professional image of the rehabilitation department and support the company's mission.

Supervisory Requirements No supervisory requirements.
Qualification Education and/or Experience • Active professional license in Physical Therapy, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapy, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Speech Language Pathology required for the state in which you are working.
• Experience in rehabilitation services within long-term care or similar settings.
• Proficiency in current EMRs (Point Click Care and Net Health).
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
