Roche Support Network is dedicated to providing exceptional support to customers.

As a Field Engineering Specialist, you will:



* Travel and showcase your expertise in technical repair and installation for Roche assigned product lines.


* You will offer valuable service to laboratory customers in your assigned territory.


* The role involves routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche products.


* You will serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues and perform preventative maintenance.


* The position requires diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.


* You will document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfaction.

This is a field-based role that requires daily travel and up to 20% overnight travel.

Our ideal candidate should reside within 30 miles of Birmingham.

Who You Are:


* High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or work experience are required.


* 5 years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking is necessary.

Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 1-2 years of progressive experience will suffice.


* Successful completion of training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy is mandatory.


* The ability to travel, including overnight travel, is a requirement for this role.

Preferred Qualifications:


* 8+ years of progressive experience or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 4+ years of progressive experience are required.


* Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, information technology, and basic chemistry.


* The ability to serve as an internal technical resource, provide support after hours and on weekends/holidays, and maintain strong customer relationships is essential.
