Job Description:
Role overview
Analysis of the PL for accurateness and makes corrections as needed. Direct responsibility for accounting practices, cost accounting, asset accounting and intercompany compliance. Gathers data from disparate systems to report in consolidation and works with operations, sales, and corporate functions for accurate reporting as needed.
Responsibilities
* The scope is: P&L review, financial postings, VAT return, BS review and reconciliation approval, SOX control
* Performs analysis of P&L to ensure proper accounting of revenue, cost and expenses
* Review MEC package
* Assists all SBU’s FP&A Teams with commenting on discrepancies
* Creates and releases accruals, prepares reclassifications or other corrections
* Reviews Purchase Price Variances and get the buyers change the price
* Prepares and submits VAT return and initiate VAT payment
* Prepares BlackLine support for VAT
* Monthly BS review for accruals and prepayments with the GL Specialist
* Approving accrual and prepayment reconciliations
* Answers questions on GL and tax coding
* SOX: Coordinate FA counts
* SOX: update labor and OH rates
* Statistical reporting
* Assists in merger & acquisition activities
Education & Experience
* Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance with 4-6 years of experience.
Knowledge & Skills
* ERP experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Good understanding of Accounting Principles.
* Stong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
