Senior Vice President, Compliance Investigation/Audit
General Purpose
The Senior Vice President, Compliance Investigation/Audit will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the internal investigations process within the organization.
This position is responsible for ensuring that all internal investigations are conducted thoroughly, impartially, and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
This role will work closely with various departments to identify, investigate, and resolve compliance issues, and will provide guidance and support to ensure the integrity of the company's compliance program.
Essential Duties
* Internal Investigations Management: Oversee and manage the internal investigations process, including the intake, assessment, and investigation of compliance concerns and allegations of misconduct.
* Compliance Program Oversight: Ensure the effectiveness of the compliance program by regularly reviewing and updating policies and procedures related to internal investigations.
* Collaboration: Work closely with legal, human resources, and other relevant departments to ensure a coordinated approach to internal investigations.
* Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on the findings of internal investigations to senior management and the Board of Directors.
* Training and Education: Assist in the development and delivery of training programs to educate employees on compliance policies, procedures, and the importance of reporting compliance concerns.
* Risk Assessment: Assist in regular risk assessments to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and implement corrective action plans.
* Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to prevent and detect compliance violations.
* Confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information related to internal investigations.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or a related field.
Advanced degree (e.g., JD, MBA) preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in compliance, legal, or internal investigations, with a strong background in managing complex investigations.
Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High ethical standards and integrity.
Proficiency in using compliance management software and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in compliance or related field (e.g., CCEP, CFE).
Experience in the healthcare industry or other highly regulated industries.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to compliance and internal investigations.
Working Conditions
This position may require occasional travel.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
