What You’ll Bring
Required
* Bachelor’s degree in archaeology, anthropology, or related field.
* 1–5 years of Phase I, II, and/or III archaeological fieldwork experience.
Or equivalent experience.
* Demonstrated experience with inventory, survey, testing, or data recovery.
* Ability to contribute effectively to technical reports.
* Strong attention to detail, particularly in documentation.
* Excellent communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Familiarity with Gulf-region archaeology, artifacts, and survey standards.
* Experience with GPS units, tablets, and other mapping technologies.
* Local availability for Gulf-region projects (Texas/Louisiana preferred).
* Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% of the time, including weekends.
* Ability to walk up to 10 miles/day, work in varied terrain and weather, lift/carry up to 50 lbs., and excavate shovel tests and units.
* Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
* Ability to work extended hours and travel on short notice.
* Strong technical writing skills and adherence to safety practices.
* Ability to pass random drug and alcohol testing.
* This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Preferred
* Graduate degree in archaeology, anthropology, or related field.
* Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA).
* Eligibility for permit listing.
* Strong oral and written communication abilities.
* Detail‑oriented, resourceful, proactive, and motivated.
* Positive, team‑focused attitude.
