What are we looking for?

The Laboratory Technician, Flotation Met, working under the supervision of the Lab Manager, will perform tasks as assigned per project manager such as receive and prepare samples to conduct laboratory testing as requested by the client.

There will be a key focus on assay testing, with responsibility for materials testing processes, handling and preparing samples, and providing written analysis in a laboratory environment.

The ideal candidate for the Laboratory Technician role will have a desire to work in learning environment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and/or in a team setting.

Shift/Schedule: Standard office hours, Monday-Friday

What you'll do:


* Working under the supervision of the analytical lab manager, will receive and prepare samples to conduct acid digestions and chemical analysis.

Data generated will be reported to the supervisors


* Maintain reagents inventories by ordering them from suppliers


* Prepare calibration standards for the instruments


* Conduct maintenance to the Lab equipment like carbon and sulfur analyzers, ICP OES, titrators and atomic absorption analyzer


* Conduct acid, cyanide, lime, and alkalinity titrations, and prepare solutions needed for this task


* Prepare paperwork for weighing and acid digestions

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:


* Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry OR 5 years' experience working in an analytical laboratory


* Experience in using Atomic Absorption, ICP-OES, Carbon/Sulfer Analyzer is required


* Experience in acid, alkalinity, ferrous iron, and NaCN titrations is required
