Job Description


* Patient Treatment: Provide treatment to patients as directed by the Physical Therapist.


* Documentation: Accurately record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes in compliance with PT Board requirements.


* Department Maintenance: Help maintain the functionality and cleanliness of the therapy department.


* Participation: Engage in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences as needed.


* Treatment Execution: Implement treatment plans according to the physician's directives and document any treatment modifications as per facility policies.


* Staff Training Support: Assist the nursing department with training Restorative Aides.


* Communication: Effectively communicate with supervisors and healthcare team members regarding patient progress, concerns, and plans.


* In-Service Training: Participate in in-service training programs for staff within the facility.


* Family and Staff Instruction: Educate patients' families and nursing staff on maintenance programs and caregiver training for discharge from therapy services.


* Equipment Maintenance: Report any issues with department equipment to maintain functionality.


* Interpersonal Skills: Build positive, effective relationships with patients, families, staff, and colleagues.

Required License or Certification


* Valid Physical Therapist Assistant License
