Job Summary
Provides support for geographic information systems (GIS) operations by collecting, analyzing, updating, and maintaining both spatial and tabular data.
Responsible for developing maps, databases, and analytical tools that inform planning, decision-making, and day-to-day operations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Location : 69 West Washington Street Minimum Qualifications
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher
• Two (2) years of experience in Geography, Urban Planning, Geographic Information Science, Computer Science or directly related experience OR
• An equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

*Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States territories and Canada, must be credentialed by the World Education Services (WES), Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) or a National Association of Credential Evaluation (NACES) member organization.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
• Knowledge of software licensing and compliance requirement to ensure it is adherence for all systems supported by the department.
• Knowledge and familiarity with GIS data formats.
• Proficiency in GIS software.
• Skill in helping to guide the planning and prioritizing of work activities by urgency and importance in alignment with a prioritizing and planning work
activities in alignment with unit priorities.
• Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently to accomplish moderate to complex work objectives and meet deadlines.
• Ability to apply technical knowledge to solve problems, conduct tests, analyze data, and operate specialized systems.
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
