Director of Quality Improvement Programs
General Purpose
The Director of Quality Improvement Programs provides leadership and strategic oversight for organizational quality initiatives and pharmacy cost management.
This role is responsible for ensuring consistent quality performance across facilities, maintaining data integrity, aligning processes with regulatory requirements, and directing improvement efforts in collaboration with operations and clinical leadership.
Essential Duties
* Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of organizational quality programs.
* Oversee the methodology, validation, and reporting structure for quality performance indicators.
* Monitor organizational, regional, and facility-specific quality trends to identify emerging risks.
* Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
* Direct quality reviews to ensure documentation accuracy and timely completion of assessments.
* Partner with operational and clinical leaders to develop corrective action plans and sustained improvement strategies.
* Provide leadership and mentorship to Quality Program Specialists and related team members.
* Develop training materials and educational resources supporting organizational quality initiatives.
* Communicate program expectations, updates, and outcomes to leadership teams.
* Participate in strategic decision-making and organizational planning related to quality performance.
Supervisory Requirements
* This position includes supervision of Quality Program Specialists and other assigned team members.
Responsible for goal setting, performance development, and team workflow structure.
Qualification ( Education and/or Experience)
* Registered Nurse required; Master's degree preferred.
* Extensive experience in clinical quality, long-term care operations, or regulatory compliance.
* Demonstrated success leading teams and quality improvement initiatives.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
* Active RN license required.
* Quality-related certifications (e.g., RAC-CTA) preferred.
Physical Demands
* Ability to sit for extended periods while reviewing documents or reports.
* Occasional travel to meetings as needed.
