The Senior Director of Systems Engineering is responsible for driving the architecture, integration, and technical execution of complex, multi-disciplinary systems across the organization.

This role oversees the systems engineering function, ensures product and platform reliability, and aligns technical strategy with business objectives.

The Senior Director leads cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle—from concept and requirements through design, integration, validation, and release.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership


* Define and execute the systems engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap.


* Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to align technical direction with business goals.


* Champion systems thinking, technical excellence, and engineering best practices across the organization.

Systems Architecture & Design


* Oversee development of system-level architectures for hardware, software, and integrated platforms.


* Lead major trade studies, technology evaluations, and system-level decisions.


* Establish and enforce engineering standards, modeling practices, and requirements management processes.

Execution & Technical Oversight


* Manage the end-to-end systems engineering lifecycle: requirements → design → integration → verification & validation → deployment.


* Direct complex system integrations, ensuring quality, performance, and reliability targets are met.


* Provide hands-on guidance to teams solving high-impact technical challenges.

Team Leadership & Development


* Lead and mentor systems engineers, test engineering, and technical project managers.


* Build high-performing teams through recruitment, training, and organizational development.


* Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
