Job Description:

Key Responsibilities 

SHUNT DRIVER DUTIES:                     


* operate shunt truck to move trailers within the yard


* communicate with shipping personnel to ensure efficient movement of trailers


* report any issues or damages to trailers


* Completes routine service on trucks, which may include checking fluids, fuel, and air.

Reports all maintenance issues and malfunctions.


* Assists with loading or unloading of products or materials, using specialized equipment when warranted.

Unloads empty pallets and returns all equipment to designated area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


* maintain and contribute a safe and clean work environment


* follow safety regulations


* other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:


* possesses at least 3 years of relevant experience operating tractor trailer or spotter truck


* good physical stamina and manual dexterity


* good organizational and time-management skills


* solution oriented problem solver

Compensation Range:
The pay for this position is $20.00 per hour.

The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
