Lock Desk Analyst
SALARY RANGE: $24.04 – $27.88
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
The Lock Desk Analyst is responsible for daily pricing functions related to the Secondary Mortgage Market.
They will support and provide back-up for loan pricing, pipeline management, and timely delivery and sale of residential mortgage loans to the Bank’s investors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Support the day-to-day Secondary Market/pricing functions including:
+ Assist with review and execution of Best Effort and Portfolio lock requests
+ Execute rate lock extension and relock requests
+ Review loan parameter changes for lock updates and reprices
+ Generate daily mortgage rate sheets and publish internally
+ Assist department with reporting and tracking related to pricing and profitability
* Assist with administration of product and pricing engine.
Provide internal support for system, product, and procedural inquiries to department.
* Maintain strong knowledge of GSE and investor requirements and changes as they relate to loan eligibility and pricing.
* Reconcile GSE and investor loan purchase advices and ensure proper loan status within MERS.
* Facilitate the set-up of new loan programs to ensure seamless processing flow and successful loan sale.
Work closely with Management to implement and communicate any operational changes.
* Assist with investor follow up on disputable post close price adjustments and fees; tracking investor fees to identify and address trends.
* Maintain up to date knowledge of mortgage regulations.
* Interface regularly with Loan Originators, Operations staff, and outside vendors.
* Assist in mortgage related projects and initiatives as directed by management.
* Demonstrate the behaviors outlined in the ‘GRB Experience.
* Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree (Business, Finance, or related field) or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Secondary market and/or mortgage industry experience a plus
* Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and math skills
