Intertek is searching for an Engineer with disciplines in electrical, power systems, renewable or similar engineering to join our Electrical - Solar Service team in our Lake Forest, California office.

What are we looking for?

The Engineer position is responsible for providing engineering expertise to evaluate conformance of inverters, energy storage systems, solar / photovoltaic panels, solar racking and tracking systems to industry standards, creating evaluation reports and test plans, conducting and/or witnessing testing, resolving technical and/or administrative issues and providing Intertek customers with superior customer service.

This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Salary & Benefits Information

The base wage or salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000.

Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

What you'll do:


* Conduct evaluations of equipment as required, to determine compliance with applicable standard(s)


* Plan, coordinate and execute project work and keep the client informed


* Read and understand schematics and manufacturing instructions


* Validate the project scope and sample applicability


* Identify and locate test instruments and equipment required for testing within the scope of the project


* Set up and operate equipment under test (EUT)


* Perform testing of products in accordance with standards.
