Your Job
Molex is seeking a driven Controls Engineering Intern to join our Lincoln Automation Team.
This role works in an innovative and globally collaborative team based out of Molex's Lincoln Nebraska manufacturing facility.
In this role, you will be developing and quoting advanced assembly processes across our transportation solutions division.
The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be a solutions-driven individual who is energized to solve problems and actively pursue solutions.
What You Will Do
Design and develop automation solutions for manufacturing.
• Gather requirements - Develop concepts - Analyze your Alternatives - Design - Quote - Build - Debug - Qualify
Innovate processes
• Seek and develop cutting edge technologies for manufacturing processes
• Give Molex a comparative advantage in connector manufacturing
• Collaborate with our global automation and manufacturing teams
Project and vendor management
• Work as an automation specialist with outside vendors
• Act as project manager for outside vendor projects
• Help write and revise automation machine specifications
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• In pursuit of an Electronics/Electrical or similar degree.
What Will Put You Ahead
Industrial work experience in PLC, HMI, and servo controls programming.
