Manufacturing Operator

Primary Duties & Responsibilities


* Works under general supervision.


* Performs daily SiC manufacturing duties, using industry standard equipment including but not limited to grinders, polishers, and metrology equipment.


* Performs daily calibrations and equipment verifications set by engineering.


* Keeps accurate records and observational logs of all manufacturing steps.


* Defined guidelines and standards or precedents guide rarely independent judgement.


* Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgement.


* Applies working general knowledge of technical resources to complete assigned task.


* Identifies and solves basic problems and presents alternatives in a useful / logical manner.


* Maintains clean and organized work areas.


* Supports initiatives to continuously improve and reduce variations in specific operations or processes, including Lean Six Sigma training, process control charting, and process capability studies.


* Must be able to multi-task multiple processes at any given moment.


* Supports and responds to requests for assistance with customer-related quality and delivery issues.

Education & Experience


* Minimum of HS diploma

Little or no prior relevant work experience.


* Must have both written and verbal skill to complete job requirements.

Working Conditions


* Temperature and humidity-controlled environment.


* Cleanliness ranges from warehouse-type fabrication environment to high-purity clean room environment.

Physical Requirements


* Must be able to move or traverse at least 50% of the time.


* Working in a stationary position may be required some of the time.


* May be required to lift up to 20 pounds from time to time.
