Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a part-time/PRN position at All Saints Sub Acute and Skilled Nursing.

Job Description:


* Treat patients as directed by the Physical Therapist.


* Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes in compliance with PT Board requirements.


* Assist in maintaining departmental functionality.


* Participate in patient care and rehabilitation conferences as needed.


* Assist with cleaning and maintaining the treatment area.


* Implement treatment plans as prescribed by the physician.


* Assist the nursing department with training of Restorative Aides.


* Communicate with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.


* Participate in in-service training programs for other staff in the facility.


* Document any treatment changes according to policy and procedures.


* Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services.


* Report any issues with departmental equipment to ensure it remains in good working order.


* Exhibit the ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients/residents, families, staff, and professional colleagues.

Qualifications:


* Valid Physical Therapist Assistant License.
