Job Description:


* Treat patients as directed by the Physical Therapist.


* Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes in accordance with PT Board guidelines.


* Assist in maintaining the department's functionality.


* Participate in patient care and rehabilitation conferences as needed.


* Help with the cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area.


* Implement treatment plans as prescribed by the physician.


* Assist the nursing department with training restorative aides.


* Communicate with the supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, issues, and plans.


* Participate in in-service training programs for other staff members.


* Record any changes to treatment as per policy and procedures.


* Instruct patients' families or nursing staff on maintenance programs and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services.


* Report any issues with departmental equipment to ensure proper maintenance.

Qualifications:


* Must possess a valid Physical Therapist Assistant license.
