Showroom Installation Manager
Location: NYC
Full-Time | Visual Merchandising | Up to 75% Travel
Position Summary
The Showroom Installation Manager is responsible for the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of all visual merchandising installations for new showroom openings.
Serving as the primary representative of the Visual Merchandising team, this individual ensures that each showroom installation is completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with brand standards.
This role requires close collaboration with Construction, Facilities, and Operations teams to deliver exceptional, on-brand environments.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
* Plan, schedule, and manage visual merchandising activities for each showroom opening, including logistics and pre-install preparation.
* Coordinate with cross-functional partners to ensure timelines and deliverables are met.
On-Site Leadership
* Oversee on-site installation of displays, fixtures, and sample presentations, ensuring all components meet established quality and brand standards.
* Serve as the on-site point of contact to address challenges and ensure timely project completion.
Team and Vendor Management
* Direct and supervise contracted installers, labor teams, and vendors during setup.
* Provide clear direction, establish priorities, and ensure accountability for deliverables.
Documentation and Reporting
* Maintain detailed installation documentation, including progress notes, photos, and reports.
* Provide regular updates to the Visual Merchandising leadership team.
Process Improvement and Operations
* Refine setup procedures, checklists, and labeling systems to increase efficiency and consistency.
* Coordinate material orders and shipments for upcoming showroom projects.
* Support the maintenance of visual merchandising tools, templates, and documentation.
Qualifications
* 3-5 years of experience in visual merchandising, retail rollout, or project coordination
* Proven track record of managing large-scale installations or store openings
* Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in fast-paced environments
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and InDesign; basic AutoCAD knowledge preferred
* Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 50%)
