Shipping & Receiving Handler 2

The Shipping & Receiving Handler 2 is responsible for managing the flow of materials and products within the warehouse.

This includes loading and unloading shipments, packaging and labeling goods, operating material handling equipment, and organizing inventory.

The role requires proficiency in using warehouse management systems and effective communication with internal teams and external transportation carriers.Skills & Abilities


* Physical ability to lift and move boxes, packages, and materials.


* Ability to drive forklifts and build pallets and crates.


* Basic computer skills and proficiency in warehouse management systems (Avante).


* Effective verbal and written communication skills.


* Attention to detail and organizational skills.


* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Forklift certification preferred.

Training and certification may be provided on the job.

Education


* High school diploma or equivalent required.


* Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.

Work Environment

This position operates primarily in a warehouse environment.

Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and moving equipment is expected.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:


* Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.


* Requires standing, walking, bending, and operating equipment for extended periods.
