Duty Drawback Program Management
* Lead the administration of the company's duty drawback program, including data collection, claim preparation, submission, and tracking.
* Ensure all drawback claims meet U.S.
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements and timelines.
* Maintain detailed records to support drawback filings and audit readiness.
* Analyze import/export data to maximize recovery opportunities and improve financial outcomes.
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external brokers to ensure accurate and compliant drawback processes.
Regulatory Compliance
* Interpret and apply international trade laws, customs regulations, and export controls (e.g., EAR, ITAR, OFAC).
* Ensure accurate product classification, including HTS, Schedule B, and ECCN codes.
* Review, audit and validate import/export documentation for compliance with regulatory requirements.
Operational Support
* Collaborate with logistics, supply chain, procurement, and sales teams to ensure compliant movement of goods.
* Support preparation of export licenses, customs declarations, certificates of origin, and other trade-related documents.
* Maintain compliance-related records in accordance with regulatory retention standards.
* Provide guidance and training to internal teams on trade compliance processes, including duty drawback requirements.
* Serve as the subject-matter expert for trade compliance questions across the organization.
* Partner with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment with trade policy and strategy.
Required
* 5 years of experience in trade compliance, customs, logistics, or duty drawback administration.
* Knowledge of U.S.
customs regulations, export controls, and drawback requirements.
* Strong analytical and data management skills.
* Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Preferred
* Professional certifications (e.g., CCS, CES, CUSECO).
* Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and drawback specialists.
* Familiarity with free trade agreements and country-of-origin determination processes.
* Experience with global trade management systems
(e.g., SAP, ACE, E2Open, Snap-R)Qualifications
Education and Experience
* BS/BA and 5 years of relevant experience or AA/AS and 6 years of relevant experience or HS Diploma with 10 years of relevant experience
* Relevant experience in the manufacturing industry.
Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
* Training and experience in customs brokering preferred;
* Excellent knowledge of US customs regulations;
* Excellent knowledge of import duty regulations and processes;
* Excellent knowledge of Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Trade in Arms regulations (ITAR)
* Affinity or experience with high-performance materials.
