As a Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer Card Technology group, you are an integral part of a team dedicated to developing high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications and platform products.

You play a crucial role in promoting significant business impact and shaping the target state architecture through your expertise in multiple architecture domains.

This position will support the Credit Card Digital experiences (web & mobile) for the design, build and implementation of new and enhanced capabilities.

It will have influence on key credit card related features in the award winning digital platforms.

Job Responsibilities


* Define, document, and deliver current state, target states, and initiative-based architectures for Credit Card product domains.


* Collaborate across all corporate technology and line-of-business technology teams to design and socialize solutions.


* Participate in digital and cross line-of-business architecture governance and tollgate processes.


* Provide subject matter expertise to multiple cross line-of-business forums, panels, ad-hoc conversations, technologies, and senior business/IT management.


* Work with application development teams to estimate the cost of proposed solutions.


* Stay informed about industry trends and leverage new techniques and technologies as appropriate.


* Challenge designs during concept and review phases to drive re-use, efficiency, security, and stability.


* Define and/or participate in supporting changes to existing or new architectural processes.


* Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.


* Actively contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills


* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.


* In-depth understanding of credit card operations, including rewards, payments, compliance, lifecycle management, pricing, line and account management


* Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, especially AWS.


* Experience with API design, microservices, and distributed systems.


* Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.


* Knowledge of PCI DSS and other relevant financial regulations.


* Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.


* Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.


* Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
