Heat Treat Operator

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a full time Heat Treat operator to perform duties to efficiently and effectively assist in processing parts through our furnaces. 

Work is performed in a typical manufacturing environment with exposure to several elements continuously present including heat, dirt, grease, oils, fluids and noise.

WHAT YOU'LL DO 


* Load and unload parts.


* Process quality parts to process specifications.


* Inspect parts visually for foreign material and/or defects.


* Preform necessary recordkeeping and paperwork.


* Adhere to work instructions and process cards as required per job.


* Maintain a zero-defect mentality and be quality conscious.


* Be responsible and accountable for the professional use of assigned work periods, machinery, equipment and tools.


* Support and participate in the departmental structure of self-directed work teams.


* Understand and perform to the AAG Quality Policy, taking pride in the products produced.


* Perform necessary preventative maintenance on machines as required or instructed.


* Move, load and unload materials as necessary.


* Deposit scrap items in designated area.


* Participate in team problem solving as part of the departmental continuous improvement process.


* Understand and performs ISO 14001 work instructions as identified in, “ISO 14001 Work Instruction Assignments”.


* Be responsible and accountable for the professional use of assigned work periods, machinery, equipment and tools.


* Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED


* Previous manufacturing experience helpful


* Manual dexterity, visual acuity, mental alertness.


* Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
