Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approached to build solutions or break down technical problems using Java and other programming languages.

Develop secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.

Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issued to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.

Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcome-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.

Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.

Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion and respect.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or in a related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Systems Analyst, Programmer Analyst, Project Lead, Java Analyst, or in a related occupation.

The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or in a related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Systems Analyst, Programmer Analyst, Project Lead, Java Analyst, or in a related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including CI/CD process with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Jules and agile methodologies; Utilizing System Design and Development with one or more modern programming languages including Python, Java, Node JS and Java Script; Writing Unit testing with Junit, Integration testing with Cucumber and Selenium, and performance Testing with JMeter; Using Spring, Spring Boot, React, Hibernate, Angular, and JPA frameworks for developing large scale applications; Using Big Data systems like Hadoop ecosystem or AWS Cloud Technologies including EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB API Gateway, SQS,SNS and RDS Databases; Building applications that are scalable, maintainable, resilient and built using micro services, Event Driven, and SOA Architecture; Message driven architecture and building event-driven systems and designing with Kafka ecosystems including Kafka Stems and Kafka Connect; Writing Complex queries to read data from Relational Databases using SQL and from Non-Relational databases using NoSQL; Providing support to applications using monitoring tools such as Splunk and ability to debug and resolve problems.
