Sr Operational Excellence Specialist (Black Belt)

Job Summary:

Self-motivated Black Belt or Master Black Belt to identify, inspire, and implement Night Vision strategic initiatives around customers, employees, financials, and business processes.

Responsibilities and Tasks:


* Coordinate across Night Vision departments and third-party entities as necessary to drive operational excellence and foster a culture of continual improvement


* Responsibilities include Initiative ownership, project identification and qualification, reporting success metrics, incorporating best practices, and effectively communicating Night Vision improvements


* Leading major enterprise-level Lean and Six Sigma projects, mentoring Black Belt candidates, and training Green Belts

Skills and Abilities:


* PMP/PMI Certification or equivalent


* Strong verbal and written communication skills


* Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel


* Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word

Education, Experience, License, or Certification:


* Bachelor of Science degree or an Engineering Degree, and a minimum of 5 years' experience in leading lean/six sigma projects


* 5 years Certified in Lean Six Sigma as a Black Belt


* Strong background in statistics


* Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplined project teams
