Manager, Research Agreements

The Research Agreements Manager is responsible for the management and review of research contracts and related agreements.

The position is responsible for facilitation and process of legal review and negotiation of all research related contracts to ensure that the terms are negotiated in line with Nemours guidelines.

The incumbent will serve as a subject matter expert utilizing the Huron Research Suite Agreements module and develop efficient processes and procedures to support research staff and investigators.

The position will work closely with Research leadership and other Nemours stakeholders to assure that the appropriate due diligence is performed in the evaluation and execution of Research contracts .

Further, the position will be responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and improving Research contract processes.

Qualifications:


* Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred


* More than 5 years research agreement experience required

Primary Responsibilities:

Provides supervision, oversight, training and mentorship of the research agreements personnel.

Ensure contract drafting in accordance with Nemours' Contract Development and Approval policy.

Serve as the lead and subject matter expert in utilizing the Huron Research Suite Agreements module.

Knowledge of the necessary operational requirements needed for the efficient and effective development, review, and execution of sponsored contracts and related agreements, including systems and personnel requirements.

Participate in Research system and process improvement projects, including an effective contract approval process for Research Associates.

Collaborate with Research leadership, SPA, Research Finance, Office of Human Subjects Protection, Compliance Department, Legal Department, Research Administration, and Office of Technology Transfer.

Promotes review and improvement of the administrative procedures governing research contracts to ensure the highest quality service is provided to all principal investigators.

Coordinate the training, coaching, and mentoring of Research Agreements staff to ensure professional growth and development.
