Senior Support Services Technician

The County of Riverside's Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) seeks a Senior Support Services Technician for their Facilities Support Division, Warehouse Team, located in Riverside.

The selected candidate will lead and assist a team of 2 to 3 Support Services Technicians in Warehouse Operations by providing support to the Support Services Supervisor with day-to-day warehouse and project work.

The incumbent will assist with coordinating project work such as build-outs, staff moves, office reconfigurations, installations and repairs to facilities with project planners and property management, participate in project meetings to provide guidance and assistance with project related items and fill in for supervisors when they are unavailable, assist in providing building access for after-hours work and act as liaison in the field with vendors, contractors and property management when support services supervisor is not on site.

Incumbents will also be responsible for managing, organizing, receiving, loading and unloading supplies and equipment from vendor trucks, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, inspect for damage and quantity received against requisitions/invoices of warehouse and workshop supplies, equipment and furniture and manage and maintain current inventory of warehouse and workshop supplies, equipment, furniture and consumables according to min-max parameters.

Competitive candidates will possess experience in a lead role, as well as experience with project management, building maintenance and experience working in a warehouse environment.
