Business Development Manager, Modernizations
For this U.S.
based position, the expected compensation range is $156,000 - $234,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States.
Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level.
Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

What will you do?
The Business Development Leader - Brownfield Modernizations is responsible for driving growth by replacing competitor automation systems (DCS, SIS, PLC, Drives) with Schneider Electric solutions in existing industrial facilities.
This role focuses on identifying, qualifying, and closing modernization opportunities, leveraging deep knowledge of both competitor and Schneider Electric offerings.
The Leader will also support the generation of incremental process automation business in grassroots Energies and Chemicals segments, prospecting for new end users and sites, and leading teams to qualify, bid, and win new automation business.
Market Development & Opportunity Identification
* Identify and target brownfield modernization opportunities in key industries (e.g., power generation, oil & gas, chemicals, manufacturing).
* Develop demand and need for process automation portfolio within new and existing customers and markets aligned to strategic objectives and goals.
* Build and nurture relationships with decision-makers at existing facilities operating competitor systems (Emerson, Honeywell, Yokogawa, ABB, Siemens, Rockwell).
* Prospect for new end users and new sites with existing customers.
* Develop and execute strategic account plans to displace competitor automation platforms.
Solution Positioning & Sales Execution
* Articulate the value proposition of Schneider Electric's automation portfolio (Foxboro DCS, Triconex SIS, Modicon PLC, Altivar Drives, EcoStruxure Automation Expert, AVEVA and Software Services) for modernization projects.
