Jr. National Account Specialist / Transfer Ssc

Job Description

The Jr.

National Account Specialist will be responsible for working with multi-unit customers to resolve complex commercial credit, billing, and collections issues to improve daily sales outstanding (DSO).

The Jr.NAS will research, verify and analyze returns, proof of delivery, short/over payments, and allowances.

Use analytical methods to report to management cash applications, sales, and payment trends affecting commercial customers.

In addition, the Jr.

NAS will take actions necessary to resolve national account billing issues or inquiries to collect past due balances.

Jr.

National Account Specialist will: Develop effective and cooperative working relationships with Major Account Representative, Business Development Managers and National Account Customers.

Maintain credit customer accounts to ensure debt collections and credit account setups are completed timely and aligned with policies and processes as well as KPIs.

Responsibilities



* Weekly workflow will be provided by the Major Account Representatives


* Communicate directly with Commercial Manager to provide support services


* Assist with the implementation of onboarding initiatives such as EDI, data feed, electronic statements, etc.


* Support sales growth
+ Identify and make recommendations to improve quality of invoicing and collection procedures
+ Monitor and report on deviations from credit standards
+ Proactively provide Major Account Representative with visibility to customer solvency and credit worthiness including weekly reporting of invoicing totals/aging totals/cash receipts/invoice adjustments
+ Develop and run queries to maintain constant oversight of national account aging.
+ Perform additional duties such as researching, responding to /emails; providing customers with any requested information per request of the Major Account Representative regarding their account such as invoice / statement requests, balance information, payment information and other general account information as needed

Qualifications

Education / Experience:

Associate Degree in Accounting (preferred) Business, or equivalent related experience in account management for a large organization, strong research and analysis skills.

Great verbal and written communication and assertive and strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with proven dispute resolution ability.

Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the use of data sources to gather required information for analysis and reporting.
