Clinical Fellow Speech Language Pathologist - Pediatric Acute Care

Work Schedule :

Full-time, 100% FTE, day shift.

Shifts will be scheduled Tuesday - Saturday between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Come provide diagnostics, instrumental and non-instrumental assessment, and treatment to complex acute care patients in the areas of feeding/swallowing disorders, speech, language, communication, and cognition.

We are seeking clinical fellows who demonstrate strengths in the following:


* Ability to analyze and synthesize information from a broad-based fund of knowledge in medical communication and voice science and disorders.


* Ability to engage in evidence-based problem solving.


* Motivation to achieve an advanced level of clinical competence in prevention, screening, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with voice and swallowing disorders.


* The ability to communicate effectively and professionally in a multidisciplinary medical setting.


* Self-evaluation resulting in actively identifying steps to develop new skills and acquire knowledge.


* Ethical, responsible, and professional conduct.

Each fellowship has a 9/7/26 start date and is 13 months in duration, ending 10/1/27.

Qualifications



* Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from an ASHA accredited graduate program Required

Work Experience



* In the process of obtaining a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Required


* Practicum (student) experience in a medical setting Preferred

Licenses & Certifications



* Wisconsin state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow Required


* Certification in Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automatic External Defibrillator Required
