Clinical Fellow Speech Language Pathologist – Adult Speech and Swallow – Acute Care

Work Schedule :

Full-time, 100% FTE, day shift.

Shifts will be scheduled Sunday - Thursday between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Come provide diagnostics, instrumental and non-instrumental assessment, and treatment to complex acute care patients in the areas of swallowing disorders, speech, language, communication, and cognition.

We are seeking clinical fellows who demonstrate strengths in the following:


* Ability to analyze and synthesize information from a broad-based fund of knowledge in medical communication and voice science and disorders.


* Ability to engage in evidence-based problem solving.


* Motivation to achieve an advanced level of clinical competence in prevention, screening, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with voice and swallowing disorders.


* The ability to communicate effectively and professionally in a multidisciplinary medical setting.


* Self-evaluation resulting in actively identifying steps to develop new skills and acquire knowledge.


* Ethical, responsible, and professional conduct.

Each fellowship has a 9/7/26 start date and is 13 months in duration, ending 10/1/27.

Qualifications



* Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from an ASHA accredited graduate program Required

Work Experience



* In the process of obtaining a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Required


* Practicum (student) experience in a medical setting Preferred

Licenses & Certifications



* Wisconsin state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow Required


* Certification in Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automatic External Defibrillator Required
