Position Summary

The COTA supports the Occupational Therapist in delivering high-quality, individualized therapy services to help residents achieve optimal functional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities


* Provide treatment as directed by the Occupational Therapist in accordance with the care plan


* Document daily treatment notes, weekly progress updates, and recertification documentation per OT Board requirements


* Assist with training Restorative Aides


* Communicate patient progress and concerns with the OT, nursing team, and other healthcare staff


* Educate families, caregivers, and nursing staff on home programs and discharge planning


* Assist in maintaining the treatment area and reporting equipment issues


* Participate in staff in-services and facility education programs

What We're Looking For


* Current California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license


* Strong communication and teamwork skills


* Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams


* Positive, patient-focused attitude
