MRO Buyer

The MRO Buyer is responsible for managing the procurement of materials, supplies, equipment, and services necessary for the maintenance, repair, and operations of the company.

This role involves researching potential suppliers, negotiating prices and contracts, inspecting materials and products, and managing supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage Equipment Purchases: Ensure equipment is delivered.

• Purchase Supplies: Acquire necessary supplies for maintenance and operations.

• Prepare Purchase Orders: Create and manage purchase orders and invoices.

• Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers.

• Cost Control: Ensure cost-effective procurement of supplies and materials.

• Compliance: Adhere to company policies, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.

• Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels to support operational needs.

• Support Operations: Provide necessary support for maintenance, repair, and operations equipment and services.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?


* Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Experience: Previous experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.

• Skills: Strong negotiation skills, excellent communication, and organizational abilities.

Knowledge of MRP systems and inventory management.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Innovation: Identify new supplier opportunities and work with engineers to develop cost-effective product designs.

• Software Utilization: Operate procurement software to streamline processes.

• Collaboration: Meet with suppliers, customers, and other professionals to discuss business issues and plans.
