Admissions & Collections Clerk - CHC-Rvrsd Neighborhood
The County of Riverside's University Health System-Community Health Center seeks a regular Admissions & Collection Clerk to join their CHC-Riverside Neighborhood team.
Under general supervision, incumbents will be responsible for being the first point of contact for patients, efficient registration is important for RNHC - as it ensures the smooth flow of patients and accurate intake means properly processed paperwork, ensuring prompt payments from health plans, checking patients, scheduling appointments, preregistration, make reminder phone calls, being in constant communication with the back-office, ensuring insurance information is correct, answering phones, verifying coverage for all patients, claim edit work queues, quest billing, understanding programs like FamPact, Every Woman Counts, CDHP, Medical, and IEHP, and working on incoming faxes regarding results, prescription requests, ROI's, PAR's, etc.
; performing other related duties as required.
This position is located in Riverside.

This position has a 4/10 schedule: Sundays 7:30am-6:00pm and Monday-Wednesday, 9:30am-8:00pm.

•Review patient insurance forms and cards to ensure completeness and accuracy as required by assistance programs and private insurance carriers for billing and payment.
•Evaluate possible assistance eligibility and refer patients to Medi-Cal and MISP as appropriate.
•Contact patient's medical insurance carrier to obtain authorization for treatment and verify eligibility and coverage.
•Assist patients with scheduling hospital or clinic appointments in person or over the phone.
•Pre-register scheduled services during scheduling process or any time prior to receiving services as directed by supervisor or manager.
•Receive and record payments for medical treatment from patients.
•Record payment information on patient payment receipt and log this information on the appropriate forms.
