The primary purpose of this position is to perform respiratory and pulmonary therapy, management, rehabilitation, diagnostic evaluation, and direct care to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities affecting the pulmonary system.

Essential Duties:


* Follow the schedule and instructions provided by your supervisor according to established policies and procedures.


* Adhere to facility policies and procedures.


* Conduct focused interviews to identify specific patient needs.


* Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.


* Collect, analyze, and interpret data from healthcare team members and document actual and/or potential diagnoses.


* Plan and implement outcomes of care for assigned patients.


* Perform interventions according to identified priorities and care plans.


* Adhere to emergency, safety, and infection control procedures.


* Promote good interpersonal communications and rapport with all departments within the facility.


* Report changes in the patient's respiratory status to the Director/Supervisor and relevant healthcare team members before leaving the facility.


* Maintain confidentiality of resident care information, including protected health information, and report any violations promptly.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:


* Must possess a current Respiratory Care Practitioner verification license for the state in which you practice (if applicable).
