Administrative Clerk
The Lucas County Court of Common Pleas, General Division is seeking a dedicated and experienced leader to serve as Administrative Clerk.
JOB PURPOSE AND OVERVIEW
Performs general administrative and clerical duties for the Court Deputies department.
Completes coordination of daily in-custody transports, responds to questions or concerns involving persons incarcerated at LCCC, CCNO, CTF, NOPH, or any other local incarceration facility or state institution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
The following duties indicate the general nature and level of work performed by this position.

Other duties may be required or assigned at any time.
1.
Assist with all administrative duties of the Court Deputies Office.
2.
Administer and print the Courtroom Dockets.
3.
Organize and distribute docket information for the jail and Court Deputies.
4.
Coordinate Summons Indictments to be served by Court Deputies.
5.
Communicate with CCNO, CTF, and NOPH on bring back orders.
6.
Organize CCIF logs and coordinate processing when defendants turn themselves in on Stays.
7.
Maintain emergency and non-emergency communications for the Office of Court Deputies.
8.
Direct Law Enforcement Officers to the appropriate “Duties Judge” for search warrants.
9.
Process federal prisoner writ of habeas corpus orders.
10.
Facilitate any transport of prisoners to courtroom, temporary holding, booking, or the prosecutor’s office.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
1.
Minimum of a High School Diploma.
2.
Must possess keen analytical and organizational skills and the ability to function at a high level within a large, complex organization.
3.
Knowledge of common office practices, procedures, and equipment.
4.
Proficiency in operating a personal computer and using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
5.
Ability to prioritize work, work independently without daily direct supervision, and manage a variety of projects simultaneously in a high-pressure atmosphere under severe time constraints.
6.
Must have excellent time management skills and be highly organized and detail oriented.
7.
Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with Judges, other elected officials, Court employees, Law Enforcement officers, Lawyers, outside agencies, businesses, and the general public.
8.
Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
9.
Creativity and ability to conceive and implement innovative approaches to solve problems and meet objectives.
Ability to recognize the need for change and respond with flexibility to changing program demands, propose solutions, and ensure that solutions are implemented.
