Emergency Education Center Specialist

Work Schedule :

Part-time, 40% FTE, day/evening shift.

Shifts are scheduled 2 days a week, Monday - Friday 8-hour shifts.

No weekends required.

Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking an Emergency Education Center Specialist to:


* Teach AHA Courses, ACLS, BLS and PALS and other certification courses taught at UW Health.


* Develop, execute, and evaluate educational treatment plans for hospital and prehospital providers.


* Select and organize facilities, equipment, and educational materials.

Qualifications



* Completion of a state-approved EMT-Paramedic education program Required or


* Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare related field Required

Work Experience



* 2 years of experience in delivery of emergency care or critical care Required


* 6 months of relevant teaching experience Required


* 3 years of experience in pre-hospital emergency response care Preferred

Licenses & Certifications



* Wisconsin state licensure as a Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, or an EMT-Paramedic Required


* Current AHA Instructor in BLS, ACLS, PALS, or must obtain within six months from date of hire Required


* Nationally Registered EMT Paramedic Preferred
