The salary range posted represents the low and high end of OSI's salary range for this position.

Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, experience and performance.

Base salary is one component of OSI's overall total rewards package.

Other components may include bonuses, special pay programs, comprehensive time off, 401k with match and a full suite of benefit offerings for you and your family.

Position Summary:

This role is responsible for leading, planning and implementing process improvement, product consistency, and waste elimination activities to ensure operational excellence.

Focus is a hands-on approach working directly with production, Quality Assurance, and maintenance.

Assist with coaching frontline team members to sustain improvements.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Identify Improvement Opportunities

• Assist with identifying opportunities to reduce the cost of goods manufactured and reducing negative variance while maintaining product quality standards.

• Help optimize material and ingredient usages.

Identify vendor inconsistencies and the opportunities to reduce waste.

Assist with vendor challenges.

• Identify the opportunities to improve yields.

• Identify root cause of quality failures and develop plan for reduction.

Reduce quality failures.

Plan & Lead Process Improvement Initiatives

• Based on identified opportunities, develop corrective action and change plan, engaging stakeholders to implement changes to meet or exceed standards.

• Improve product cost through least cost formulation.

Achieve least cost formulation by managing raw materials, meat blocks, ingredients used and ingredient consolidation.

• Assist to establish the production line rate and through put.

Identify individual line process capability and the production bottle necks.

Assist with improvement solutions.

Implement & Audit Process Changes

• Partner with operations to monitor the manufacturing process control points to ensure the finished goods quality and yield improvement.

• Audit and manage the plant manufacturing instructions (MIs).

Ensure accuracy, adherence, and confirm acceptable finished product is produced.

Implement change control to comply where needed.
