Territory Account Manager

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

This position is accountable to provide representation for the Company within an assigned territorial area to ensure effective customer relations and successful achievement of engine sales goals.

Although this position supervises no other positions, the incumbent serves as the primary liaison between the Company and customers within assigned territory areas.

In addition, the incumbent works closely with other EPG sales representatives, engineers, and sales staff, as well as, outside vendors for the purpose of exchanging customer and product information, participating in special marketing activities and providing other assistance that will further the success of the division as a whole.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


* Provide and coordinate sales activities within assigned territory to obtain or exceed established volume, overall unit sales and gross revenues, and maximize profitability in accordance with division objectives.


* Monitor all sales activities within assigned territory to ensure that all lost sales are reported, including transaction prices when available, to facilitate the development of marketing plans and to maximize awareness levels of competitive sales activity.


* Maintain knowledge of product lines, service and support capabilities, and marketing programs and objectives relating to engine sales to ensure effective representation of the Company with customers.


* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers through personal visitation and other marketing activities to determine equipment needs and provide information concerning the availability of new, used, and rental products offered by the Company.


* Assist in the development of new marketing plans and strategies designed to enhance the overall success of the Power Systems Division of the Company.


* Provide continuing contact with customers after sale to respond to questions and technical problems, coordinate installation and start-ups, and keep management informed of customer concerns and/or problems.


* Implement division marketing programs designed to increase customer awareness of existing equipment and new product lines.

Identify new customers for the Company and enhance market penetration and sales effectiveness within assigned territorial area.


* Prepare a variety of reports, summaries, and other information designed to provide accurate data to management regarding sales activities, customer contacts, expense accounting, and other information necessary to support or monitor sales effectiveness.

Prepare and submit these reports in a timely manner to ensure that the required information is provided in accordance with established reporting deadlines.


* Confer with the Sales Manager to ensure all customer accounts within assigned territorial area are maintained and monitored in an acceptable manner to support sales activities.
