Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD), a Koch company, is seeking an Associate Expeditor to join our team onsite at our headquarters in Katy, TX.

This position will predominately be working with our Purchasing group in the expediting capability for all specialized areas of the department: Valves, piping, civil/structural, raw materials and major equipment needs in support of construction activities.

This role is responsible for partnering with the procurement & production groups and, once a purchase order is issued, will be responsible for ensuring that all purchased materials such as major equipment, civil structural, piping and valves arrive at the prescribed intermediate and final destinations.

This role is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.

Our Team

The expediting team, through the use of proprietary software and other external tools that are updated daily, will communicate the status of materials to the project team, 3rd party fabricators and coaters.

What You Will Do


* Compile and maintain an open order report of procurement PO's placed.


* Initiate and maintain contact with suppliers until final shipments are received.


* Monitor project delivery timelines and ensure purchase order delivery dates are met as promised.


* Request verification of deliveries on all procurement orders as required.


* Track progress of approval drawing process.


* Review open purchase order commitments and make the necessary adjustments to support customer delivery requirements.


* Notify PMs and buyers of delays to coordinate around challenging deliveries.


* Provide regular updates to production team on materials needed for fabricators.


* Contact suppliers to resolve issues or ensure on-time delivery, product quality, and adherence to costs.


* Assist accounting in resolution of supplier invoicing discrepancies.


* Communicate and distribute documentation to support timely receiving procedures.


* Single point of contact for receiving issues within warehouse, fields, & fab shops.


* Create end to end visibility of order status within INFOR by adding internal notes per line.


* Other duties as assigned.
