Equities Product Controller - Senior Associate

Join this fast-paced team as an Associate with a focus on Equities Product Control.

As a Senior Associate Equities Product Controller within the financial controllers and trading desks team, you will ensure the accuracy of Profit & Loss (P&L), balance sheet, and month-end close procedures.

You will have the opportunity to promote and implement robust controls and new business initiatives, coordinate across various front & back office support functions, and serve as an analytical and project support resource.

Job responsibilities


* Responsible for the global coordination and production of the P&L and Risk Scorecard for the Global EDG business, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in data submission.

This comprehensive pack is reviewed by senior management on a monthly basis to evaluate the effectiveness of all controls and ensure they are being executed as required.


* Collaborate with controllers across regions to ensure submissions are accurate and compliant with the P&L and Risk minimum standards.

Where necessary, facilitate amendments to submissions to meet these requirements in a timely manner.


* Produce, validate, and report T+1 P&L and Risk figures and assist with the month-end close process.


* Substantiate and report daily P&L attributes, including but not limited to Delta, Gamma, and Vega.


* Drive coordination across various front and back office support functions to ensure the resolution of control and reporting issues in an accurate and timely manner.


* Provide T+1 P&L commentary that explains significant drivers of P&L, including market context where necessary.


* Handle various ad-hoc requests on a daily basis.


* Obtain daily P&L and Risk sign-off from the Front Office to ensure compliance with PC P&L and Risk minimum standards.


* Develop, update, and enhance automated process solutions for improved controls and efficiency.


* Serve as an analytical and project support resource for NA Equities product control.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills


* 4+ years within Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or related area


* Experience doing P&L and month end close process


* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related area


* Solid understanding of financial products


* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail including a strong control focus


* Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships.


* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Alteryx
