Job Description:


* Provide patient care as directed by the Occupational Therapist.


* Maintain accurate records of daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes in accordance with Occupational Therapy Board standards.


* Implement treatment plans as prescribed by physicians.


* Assist the nursing department in training Restorative Aides.


* Communicate with supervisors and other healthcare team members regarding patient progress, issues, and planning.


* Participate in in-service training programs for facility staff to enhance skill sets.


* Document evaluations, daily treatment notes, and recertification documentation in compliance with the Occupational Therapy Board and regulatory requirements.


* Record any treatment changes in accordance with established policies and procedures.


* Educate patients' families or nursing staff on maintenance programs and provide caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services.


* Contribute to discharge planning efforts.


* Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the treatment area.


* Report any issues with departmental equipment to ensure it is kept in good working order.


* Foster positive and effective relationships with patients, families, staff, and professional colleagues.

Required License or Certification:


* Valid Occupational Therapist Assistant License
