Firmwide Public Policy Planning and Execution - Associate

The Global Government Relations team identifies and manages political, regulatory, and legislative risks and opportunities to create a better environment for the bank and the communities it serves.

As an Associate in Firmwide Public Policy Planning and Execution, you will support the development of policies and supporting strategies intended to advance a competitive US economy, leveraging expertise in project management, communication, research, policy, advocacy, and strategic relationship management.

You will coordinate closely across Lines of Business and other Corporate partners such as Communications, Legal and Compliance, and Risk Management.

Job Responsibilities:


* Support horizontal projects and functions on behalf of the Executive Director, Firmwide Public Policy Planning, and the Head of Strategy and Operations, Global Government Relations.


* Track significant initiatives and priority projects related to firmwide policy and advocacy across the department and the firm.

Provide project management and coordination assistance to project teams, monitor progress, ensure appropriate briefing for senior leaders, and drive successful project completion.


* Prepare and deliver comprehensive briefing presentations for senior management, tailoring format, voice and content to varied audiences


* Leverage public and non-public services to perform competitor/industry research.


* Work simultaneously on multiple projects within the department and those that extend to Lines of Business, Corporate functions, and strategy organizations across the firm.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:


* Bachelor's Degree required.


* 2+ years of diverse problem-solving experience in management consulting firm or in-house strategy team.


* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; strong ability to articulate concepts and strategies effectively in multiple formats.


* Strong organizational skills and project management experience.


* Experience presenting to and communicating with senior management.


* Excellent relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:


* Conversant in multiple policy issues is a plus.


* Experience in financial services is a plus.


* Experience working in or exposure to government, policy or non-profit organizations is a plus.
