Clinical Informatics Officer (RN) - RUHS - Information Services

Riverside University Health System-Medical Center (RUHS-MC) has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Informatics Officer (Registered Nurse) with the Information Services department.

The work schedule for this position is a 9/80 with every other Friday off.

Driving between sites is required.

Under general direction, the Clinical Informatics Officer develops and implements clinical process redesign and information flow strategies related to the implementation and ongoing support of the RUHS-MC Health Information System (HIS).

The incumbent coordinates clinical workflow assignments, provides direction and oversight to subject matter experts, and leads multiple teams through all phases of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) lifecycle-including development, implementation, evaluation, support, modification, and updates.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

The Clinical Informatics Officer is a single-position, journey-level management classification that reports to an appropriate director-level position.

Working collaboratively with the Chief Clinical Integration Officer, the Information Technology Department, HIS vendors, and medical, nursing, ancillary, and finance staff, the incumbent assesses and implements technological solutions that improve care delivery, enhance patient safety, and optimize workflow efficiency across RUHS-MC.
This class has been deemed eligible for the Performance Recognition Plan as set forth under Article 3, Section 311 of the County Management Resolution.

Program eligibility requires employees to be in a leadership position, manage other employees or programs, and have significant influence on the achievement of organizational objectives.

What we are looking for in candidates:


* Experience managing clinical workflows, testing and redesigning processes, and applying current technologies in a rapidly changing environment


* Project management skills


* Presentation/written/oral communication skills


* Advanced computer skills with a high level of knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, electronic charting, patient tracking, physician order entry, and other clinical applications


* Clinical integration supervisory experience preferred


* Experience with Epic Care Connect preferred


* RN license/valid CDL required
