Your Day-to-Day

We’re on the lookout for Part-Time Porters to join our team — passionate individuals who love creating memorable moments.

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of the guest journey, assisting with arrivals, departures, and everything in between.

You’ll help ensure every guest enjoys an authentic Melbourne experience, filled with warmth, care, and genuine hospitality.

From offering immediate assistance with luggage, coats, and personal belongings to providing helpful information about our hotel and the best of Melbourne, you’ll help shape a stay they'll never forget.

You’ll handle, store, and transfer guest luggage with care, offer directions with confidence, and — when needed — safely park and retrieve guest vehicles.

Every interaction is an opportunity to elevate a guest’s stay and showcase the service InterContinental is known for.

What We Need From You

As a Porter, you’ll be part of our Concierge team — a team that plays a powerful role in creating exceptional guest experiences and turning our visitors into lifelong ambassadors of InterContinental Hotels & Resorts.

To shine in this role, you’ll bring:


* Excellent communication skills and a warm, welcoming demeanour


* Physical mobility and the ability to lift, carry, push, or move luggage and packages


* A willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays (with applicable penalties)


* A genuine passion for delivering outstanding service


* A valid driver’s licence


* Most importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys meeting new people, thrives in a team environment, and takes pride in making moments matter.
