GPS Grade Checker - Ocotillo Rd - Gilbert, AZ

JOB DESCRIPTION

Sundt Construction is seeking an experienced Grade Checker for its project in Gilbert, AZ.

Pay Rate is $35 per hour working 40-50hrs per week.

This is a safety sensitive position that is responsible for setting grade stakes to guide earth moving equipment operators in cut & fill, sloping, excavation, and backfilling work at residential, commercial, heavy civil, highway, and energy sites.

Experience in the use of measuring instruments and hand tools are necessary.

They must also have training in marking and reading survey stakes to determine grade specifications.

A qualified Grade Checker must have the ability to observe, direct and control equipment excavating activities to conform to stake references and communicate with equipment operators, supervision and management.

Must be able to pass pre employment drug screen.

Job Summary

Assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties.

Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision.

Must have the ability to take direction from a higher skilled worker or foreman.

Minimum Job Requirements

1.

NCCER Core Curriculum and /or a High School diploma or equivalent is also preferred.
2.

One year experience (level I), two years' experience (level II) and three plus years' experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry is preferred.
